INTRODUCTION:
- The inferior aperture is the broad end of the Thorax which surrounds the upper part of the abdominal cavity.
- It is separated from the abdominal cavity by the musculotendinous partition called as diaphragm.
BOUNDARIES:
Anterior: Infra sternal angle between the two
coastal margins.
Posteriorly: Inferior surface of the body of the
twelfth thoracic vertebra.
On each side: Costal margin formed by the
cartilages of 7th to twelfth ribs.
